VACATION PACKAGE
Enjoy the Best of San Francisco Bay Area
Our six-day packages begins in San Francisco, the City by the Bay. Our getaway highlights the city’s many cultural and iconic treasures, including Golden Gate Park, Chinatown, Twin Peaks, the winding pathway of Lombard Street, and the barking sea lions and shops of Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39. (The deluxe packages includes an optional tour of America’s most notorious prison, Alcatraz).
You can spend a day visiting the fertile wine country of the Napa and Sonoma valleys north of San Francisco, where we’ll enjoy tastings and tours of three stunning wineries. Experience the natural beauty of Northern California
San Francisco consistently dominates visitor surveys and magazine rankings of the most popular destinations in the world. But the city itself is only part of the story: the unique environment of Northern California permeates the city and the surrounding area, from the hills of San Francisco to the redwood forests to the dramatic cliffs of the Pacific Coast.
One of the most unforgettable destinations in Northern California is the Yosemite Valley. We’ll spend two days and one night amidst the rugged landscapes, dramatic waterfalls, and fascinating natural formations at Yosemite National Park. There’s plenty of time for hiking, visiting the Ansel Adams Gallery, or just taking it easy in one of America’s original national parks. From the woods to the city, there’s something to please everyone with our San Francisco and Yosemite package!
The iconic Golden Gate Bridge is among the most recognizable and photographed bridge in the world. Named one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Golden Gate stretches a mile where San Francisco Bay meets the Pacific Ocean. The bridge is popular with walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and motorists alike.
Townhouses tucked along the steep hillsides and narrow streets of San Francisco reflect the perfect marriage of the city’s natural and man-made beauty. The city is world-famous for its diverse neighborhoods and districts, from the ethnic enclaves of Chinatown and bustling North Beach to the historic waterfront of Embarcadero and Haight-Ashbury, birthplace of hippie counterculture.
While Napa Valley may be the better known California wine producing region, nearby Sonoma Valley is also a major source of grapes and wines. Hundreds of vineyards of all sizes and specialties dot the rolling hills of the Sonoma and Russian River region. The Armstrong Redwoods State Preserve and the sandy beaches around Bodega Bay also surround the wineries of the Sonoma region.
The spectacular views in Yosemite National Park draw five million visitors annually, with most of those guests focusing on the splendors of Yosemite Valley. Peaks rise to more than 11,000 feet above sea level, supporting a broad range of ecosystems. The park covers more than 1.1 million square miles of granite cliffs, giant sequoias, and clear mountain streams, allowing you to visit a broad range of biological and botanical environments.
The powerful waterfalls of Yosemite were one of the spectacular natural features that led naturalist John Muir to campaign for establishing a national park here, protecting Yosemite Valley and the surrounding mountains from future development. The 317-foot Vernal Fall (above) and nearby Nevada Falls are accessible to hikers from both the John Muir Trail and the Mist Trail.
Muir Woods, a National Park Service unit on Mount Tamalpais in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, is only 12 miles north of San Francisco. Old growth coast redwoods cover 240 of the 554 acres that comprise the Muir Woods National Monument, preserving one of the few remaining stands of redwoods in the San Francisco Bay area.
