Here, the old mixes seamlessly with the new, and lively spots like the Gaslamp Quarter downtown will also introduce you to the area’s rich heritage. Your stops include La Jolla, an exclusive and beautiful seaside gem, historic Old Town, Balboa Park, and Seaport Village. Following this day of touring, return to Los Angeles for a free evening, and depart from LAX the next day.

Nearly 200 celebrity handprints, footprints, and autographs are set in concrete at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The movie palace also sits along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, another popular tribute to stars of yesterday and today.
The USS Midway, a decommissioned Naval aircraft carrier, is now home of the USS Midway Museum in downtown San Diego. San Diego is the longtime home of numerous U.S. Navy bases and personnel, who settled in part at beautiful Coronado.
San Diego’s Old Town historic district is on the site of present-day California’s earliest beginnings. This colorful district features a blend of heritage sites, Mexican-themed shops, restaurants and attractions, and includes many original Spanish structures.
Balboa Park is a 1,200-acre oasis in central San Diego. The much-loved park’s attractive buildings and grounds are home to museums and gardens, as well as the world-famous San Diego Zoo, known for its pioneering natural habitats.
