Spend a Day at the Grand Canyon
On the second day, fly by small plane to the Grand Canyon and explore the West Rim. We’ll start with an aerial view of one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World, flying over the canyons and tributaries that make up the rugged landscape of Grand Canyon National Park. Then we’ll land nearby for a ground tour of the park.
The Grand Canyon is one of the oldest national parks in the United States, and the second most visited. Majestic forests of Ponderosa pines line the gorge of the Colorado River, which drops thousands of feet from the rim of the canyon at viewing points such as Toroweap Overlook and the Skywalk on the West Rim. Don’t miss one of the world’s most breathtaking natural settings!
This birds-eye view of the fountains and hotels of The Las Vegas Strip also shows many of the countless attractions in the “Entertainment Capital of the World.” We’ll start out with a tour of the area before heading to your hotel on The Strip. You’ll have time each evening – plus an entire day on your own – to enjoy the sights and sounds of glitzy, glittering Vegas.
For decades, this famous sign has welcomed visitors to fabulous Las Vegas, where the entertainment never ends. From gambling and live shows to rollercoasters, Ferris wheels, zip lines and art museums, you’re guaranteed a stimulating and fun visit, surrounded by some of the most majestic natural settings in the West.
The bright lights and non-stop action of The Strip are available 24/7 in this exciting destination. Vegas Vic, the iconic neon cowboy, shown above, whose “Howdy Podner” has greeted visitors since 1951, has remained part of the Fremont Street Experience even after his own casino closed. Fremont Street is also home to many of the top resorts and casinos that define Las Vegas.
Few sights compare with the majestic panoramas of the Grand Canyon, one of the most inspiring wonders in the world. We’ll see Grand Canyon National Park and the landscapes of Utah and Nevada from the air during our plane trip to the park. Then we’ll land for a personal view of the Grand Canyon from the West Rim. Once you’re there, you’ll see why President Teddy Roosevelt said this is the one sight everyone should see.
Big Apple meets Sin City at New York-New York Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The resort reflects the 1940s New York skyline by bringing together the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Terminal, and other iconic structures. From the Central Park Casino area to the Greenwich Village shops and the Big Apple logos on the playing cards, everything at New York-New York evokes images of the “City that Never Sleeps.”
Known for its architectural wonders, Las Vegas provides a taste of Italy at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. Gondola rides along canals lined by shops, intricate sculptures, and reproductions of Venetian landmarks like the Rialto Bridge and the Piazza San Marco recreate the experience of beautiful Venice. Or, if you’d prefer to see Las Vegas’s own take on France, check out the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas.
